The Transition Patrol Alloy NX Mountain Bike is finally back for 2022 and is bang up to date and ready to shred! With a mixed wheel size “mullet” setup, and 160mm travel, the Patrol is the ultimate fun play bike, for anything you can throw at it!The 2022 Patrol is built around an all new alloy frame that is packed with the latest features. Not only does it utilise an on-trend “mullet” wheel set up with 29 inch front and 27.5 inch rear wheel, the Patrol also has adjustable geometry with high and low settings thanks to a flip chip in the lower shock mount. Transition’s signature SBG geometry features as well, with a slack 62.5 degree head angle and 333mm BB height in the low setting.Thanks to the steep seat angle though (77.6 degrees – size large), the Patrol will still climb well too. New for Transition is size specific chainstay lengths, with small and medium frames having shorter 436mm stays and the large and X-large getting 442mm to maintain the perfect handling balance.A great frame is nothing without great components and Transition has hit a home run with the Patrol Alloy Deore. Built around the super plush Marzocchi Bomber Z1 fork and Fox Float DPX2 Performance Air shock, the Patrol serves up 160mm of buttery smooth travel to tame the roughest terrain.Driving you forward is a slick shifting SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, providing all the gear range you need to cruise the climbs and smash the descents. Slowing you back down are super powerful Shimano Deore M6120 brakes with 203mm rotors, while a long-travel One Up components dropper post means the perfect saddle height is just a lever push away. With sturdy Stan’s Flow D wheels and massively grippy Schwalbe Magic Mary & Big Betty tyres, the Patrol won’t shy away from the steepest descents and sketchiest lines.
